On this trip we shall cover four countries in West Africa: Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria. Basically, the heartland of the Black people where slavery took place. We will explore important historical buildings, markets that specialize in interesting crafts, museums with authentic historical objects, scenic landscapes, and experience the real traditional West Africa.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Nigeria – Badagry – Seme – Cotonou – Ouidah, Benin. Leave mainland Lagos and continue to Badagry to visit the first storey building in Nigeria and the Abass Seriki Slave Museum. Proceed to the border and continue to Cotonou en route to Ouidah. In Ouidah we visit the Kpasse Sacred Forest, the Python Temple, and the Ganvie floating village. Overnight at Hotel Marriella or similar.
Day 2: Ouidah – Lomé, Togo. Depart early for a 3-hour drive to Lomé. After immigration formalities, explore Independence Square, the Cathedral, the Grand Fetish Market, and the local Voodoo market at Akodessewa. Overnight at Hotel Napoleon Lagune or similar.
Day 3: Lomé – Accra, Ghana. Leave for the border early, complete immigration protocols, and continue to Accra. Begin the Accra city tour: Jamestown fishing suburbs, visit the orphanage school and James Fort prison, Independence Square & Arch, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park & Museum, Fantasy Caskets makers, Arts & Craft Centre for local dance and drumming, and the Artist Alliance Gallery. Overnight at Hotel 33 Plus.
